Privacy Policy & Terms of Service URLs

Privacy Policy and Terms of Service URLs in your application are links that lead users to important legal documents. Having these URLs accessible within the app ensures transparency and legal compliance, as users can review these documents before allowing consent to the release of their data to your application.

Privacy Policy URIs

Privacy Policy URL should outline how your application collects, uses, and protects user data. It describes data handling practices, user rights, and privacy-related information.

ID.me allows developers to add URIs, or links, to the consent screen that direct users to their privacy policy statement or legal document that discloses some or all of the ways a party gathers, uses, discloses, and manages a customer or client's data.

Terms of Service URIs

Terms of Service URL should lay out the rules and expectations for using the application. It covers issues like user responsibilities, intellectual property rights, disclaimers, and the application's terms of use.

ID.me allows developers to add URIs, or links, to the consent screen that direct users to their terms of service legal agreements between the company and person who wants to use that service.

Best Practices

Including both the Privacy Policy URI and Terms of Service URI within your configure allows users to proactively opt-in to your company’s statement and agreement, eliminating the need to ask users to check a box after they have already verified and consented.
