Session Length
Session length in an application determines the duration a user's session remains active after logging in. This defines the period during which a user can interact with the application without having to re-authenticate. The session length is typically set to balance security and user convenience, ensuring that a user's session is long enough to avoid frequent logins but short enough to minimize the risk of unauthorized access if the device is left unattended. It's an important aspect of user experience and security management in applications.
Session Length Configuration
By default, ID.me sets the session timeout to 15 minutes for users who sign in. However, this default expiration time can be adjusted by reaching out to your dedicated Solution Consultant. Depending on the policy and use case, there may be restrictions to the duration of the session timeout. Your Solution Consultant can assist in determining the options.
